How well are your needs met?

 

For good emotional health and wellbeing your basic needs have to be met, in a way that is appropriate for you.

The need to feel understood and connected

 

Sharing ideas, feelings and dreams with others.

 

 

The need to give and receive attention

 

Regular contact with other people.

Exercise, nutrition, sleep.

 

 

Having a sense of control

 

 

An appropriate sense of control in your life, and letting go of the things outside of your control.

 

 

Need for creativity and stimulation

 

 

New challenges, learning and expanding your horizons.

 

 

The need for purpose and goals.

 

 

Making future plans or having a sense of purpose.

 

 

A sense of connection to something bigger than oneself.

 

Religion, community groups,

Voluntary work.  Anything that takes the focus off yourself.
